Maître Restaurateur recognised cuisine
The gourmet restaurant at La Chaîne d'Or holds the title of Maître Restaurateur (France's Master Restaurateurs) which rewards traditional catering professionals by promoting their skills and commitment to quality.
The Maître Restaurateur serves dishes prepared on site with raw ingredients (mainly fresh). All the dishes are "home-made". These criteria guarantee the quality of the meals served. The title of Maître Restaurateur also recognises the quality of service and reception.
Therefore, La Chaîne d'Or, Maître Restaurateur, offers good quality, home-made and recognised cuisine.
Furthermore, our Head Chef privileges local suppliers which contribute to the authenticity and quality of our offering. Their good quality products from the local area vary and evolve with the seasons.
Our bread is home-made with locally-produced flour from the Moulin d’Auguste Lainé.
This mill, located in Les Andelys, offers a selection of conventional and organic flours made with local wheat (less than 40 km around Les Andelys).
Discover the dishes packed with flavours served at our restaurant (rewarded with 3 forks in the Michelin guide), offering a combination of tradition and modernity, designed and prepared with fresh, seasonal produce selected with great care.
Be amazed from the moment the starter arrives, with a Lobster Raviolis and Lobster Sauce Homemade, or Sweet Breads in a Port Sauce. Continue with a Beef Fillet from Normandy, or let yourself be tempted by a Fresh Sea Bass Fillet stuffed with Algua. Our tray of cheeses matured by us offers a very varied and good quality selection based mainly on the treasures of the cheeses of Normandy.
Finally, round off your meal with a sweet and delicate treat. You will be spoiled for choice: a Fondant Dark Chocolate Heart with a Caramel Dressing for those with a sweet tooth, the Warm Apple Tart Flambéed with Calvados for more traditional diners, or a Shortbread Biscuit with Apple as a tribute to Normandy.
Our restaurant's wine list offers a varied choice of more than 350 references. We take great care in working with small winegrowers as well as renowned establishments. We offer a range of local wines and some of the most prestigious major vintages. A large selection of half bottles and wine by the glass is also available.
